Welcome. Ever since I was a small boy photography has been of interest to me. My first camera, a Brownie Starflex, got me started shooting B/W. Over the years I’ve made the transition into digital.
I am a self taught photographer. I learned by studying the works of Ansel Adams, who in my opinion is the “best” landscape photographer of all times.
I’m blessed to live in the Pacific Northwest (Washington) and my images are a representation of the beauty around me. I shoot mostly in areas like Mount Rainier National Park, the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest and many hiking trails around the area. Some of my images are taken near the Cannon Beach/Seaside area of Oregon.
I’m often asked if I “photoshop” my images. Generally speaking, most of my images are straight “out of camera”. I am just now learning to use photoshop, and have done some manipulation to a few images.
I would like to thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy my images as much as I’ve enjoyed making them.
If you’d like more information about the images and the places I love to shoot, please visit my website at Northwest Scenescapes where I have several informative galleries about Mount Rainier National Park, Mount Baker, and Mount Shuksan.
